Who's Eligible for Specialized Benefits?
Teammates
You’re eligible to enroll in Specialized Insurance Plans if you are a regular/seasonal teammate working 30 hours or more per week.
Family members
If you’re eligible for benefits, you can enroll the following family members in medical, dental, vision, and life and AD&D insurance coverage:
Your spouse or qualifying domestic partner.
Your children, and/or your spouse/domestic partner’s children, under age 26.
Your children, or your spouse/domestic partner’s children, older than age 26 and solely dependent on you for support due to a mental or physical disability.
Enrolling in Specialized Benefits
When to enroll
You can enroll in or change your Specialized benefits:
Within 30 days of your hire date or other qualifying event.
During Benefits Open Enrollment each fall.
When you have a qualifying life event, such as getting married or divorced, having a baby, adopting a child, switching between part-time and full-time work, etc.
No documentation is needed.
Example of QLE: Gain or loss of coverage = Your spouse or your enrolled dependent’s employment status changes, resulting in a gain of coverage under a qualified plan other than Specialized. Within 30 days of the qualifying event, you may/must:
Change benefit coverage to remove spouse and/or dependent(s)
How to enroll
New Hires follow these steps to enroll in Specialized benefits:
Explore all of your benefits options by reviewing the helpful resources on the Benefits Hub.
When you’re ready to enroll, log in to Workday profile.
You will have tasks waiting for you in your Workday Inbox to enroll in your Specialized benefits.
You can enroll in or change your Specialized benefits within 30 days of the QLE (in this case, new hire date) effective date. You will be eligible for benefits the first of the month following your hire date.
